It's designed to go after the kinds of built-up stains that collect over time, using Crest's patented whitening technology. How does it approach deep stains? The formula uses a dual phosphate system that penetrates deep built-up stains, reaching the bottom layer to dissolve the bonds that hold stubborn stains to teeth. Unlike peroxide-based options, it is completely free from bleaching agents such as hydrogen peroxide, which is a useful distinction if you're comparing different whitening-toothpaste approaches. How do you use it? For adults and children 6 years and older, brush teeth thoroughly, preferably after each meal or at least twice a day, or as directed by a dentist or physician. Do not swallow. For children under 6 years, ask a dentist. A note on the pump: because of how the tube is filled, air sometimes gets trapped and the pump may need to be primed before first use.
